kwangya or "wilderness" in english, has more deeper meaning than what it seems and LSM already explain it on the last online concert according to him kwangya is "An unprescribed, infinite extent with no rule and form." In simplier term kwangya is big ass universe that has no boundaries distinct concept and exact timeline it is also formless just like water and it hold all of the sment artist worlds ( nct, exo,aespa, red velvet,snsd etc), Honestly its quite similar to marvel each of their character has their own story/movie like ironman, thor,incredible hulk and captain america but through MCU we were able to see those character interact and be in the same movie and kwangya/smcu is the mcu of SMent were it connects all of its artists in a one universe but it doesn't mean they would loose each groups identity

KWANGYA IS NOT A CONCEPT:

SMCU occurs because of kwangya since kwangya

holds all of the SMent artist world it creates shared connections between the artist and their worldview

HOW ARE THEY CONNECTED:

Now here's the question how each of sm groups connected when they have different world view?

- Lets compare smcu to mcu thor is a god, steve Rogers (Capt america) is a super enhanced soldier from world war II, rocket is a genetically enhance creature and some of mcu characters are also from different world, species and timeline but they are able to work together to defeat one enemy. Same thing would happen to sment artist although they have different world-view, concept or perhaps timeline what they need is just one common enemy to be able to interact to each other. now for the enemy it is still unknown since were only at the beginning of SMCU it maybe the black mamba?red force? Taemin? Or perhaps one of the group from SMent will take the role as villain.

COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS:

Common misconceptions also kwangya & Al are not aespas concept. The Al(aes) are just part of their concept which is futuristic/sci-fi/metaverse and it's their counterparts in their worldview just like how x-exo are the evil counterpart of exo in their world view.
